Alternatíva Sound is an artist-led platform founded by Edina Nagy / nównøis to support independent artists working outside mainstream music structures.
The project grew from a need for more intimate, collaborative spaces where experimental musicians, visual artists and multidisciplinary performers can meet, perform and build relationships beyond one-off gigs.
Alternatíva’s work sits between live music, community-building, visual culture and artist development. Its events focus on alternative electronic music, trip-hop, experimental pop, dark R&B, sound-led performance and other genre-blurring forms that often fall between established scenes.
The platform is built on collaboration rather than competition: artists are encouraged to support each other’s work, share audiences, document their practice and create future connections.

Alternatíva is for listeners who want more than background music, algorithmic playlists or predictable line-ups. Our events are built for people who are drawn to atmosphere, intimacy, strange beauty and artists who do not easily fit into one genre.
Alternatíva also grows through multidisciplinary collaboration, from visual artists and performers to photographers, filmmakers, writers and selectors.
Each event is an invitation to step into a shared space where sound, visuals and performance can meet — and where supporting independent artists means being part of something as it grows, not only watching it from the outside.
